For example, authorizing someone can be useful when you go on holiday yourself, but you want certain documents to be sent or signed despite your absence.

By authorizing someone, you give this person the authority to send and/or sign documents on your behalf. If an agent sends documents on your behalf, his or her name will appear below. Even if an authorized representative signs documents in your name, his or her name will appear below. However, the evidence summary states that this person signed on your behalf and was authorized by you.

You can set delegations through your account. Click on your name at the top right and then on 'My Account'. In the screen that you now see, you can click on 'Delegations' in the left column. You will now see the screen below:

You can select a colleague via 'Add delegation'. Click on the correct name and then click on update. The delegation is now set.

An extra icon will then be visible next to the person you access delegation:

If you click on this in your dashboard, you can manage the delegation:

To (temporarily) disable the delegation, click on the red text to manage the delegation. You can then select and (temporarily) disable the delegation. You can now send and/or sign documents on behalf of yourself again.
