General

What's new in ValidSign v2.0.0?

Version 2.0.0 introduces a redesigned backend, mandatory two-factor authentication (MFA), and a number of updates to API endpoints. A full overview of all changes is available in the ValidSign v2.0.0 release notes.

Login and password

Do I need to reset my password?

Yes. Every user must perform a one-time password reset for the new environment. Follow the steps in the Password reset guide.

Does the password reset also apply to SSO users?

No. Users who log in via Single Sign-On (SSO) do not need to perform a password reset. They will continue to log in through their existing SSO provider.

I am not receiving the password reset email. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder. If the email still doesn't arrive, please contact support@validsign.eu.

Two-factor authentication (MFA)

Important

From version 2.0.0 onward, two-factor authentication (MFA) is mandatory for all users who log in with a password.

Is two-factor authentication (MFA) mandatory?

Yes. MFA is mandatory for all users who log in with a password. MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account.

How do I set up MFA for my account?

The guide Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (MFA) explains step by step how to activate MFA.

Which authenticator apps can I use?

You can use any standard TOTP authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.

What if I lose access to my authenticator app?

When setting up MFA, you receive a set of backup codes. You can use these codes to log in. If you no longer have your backup codes, please contact the administrator of your environment. The administrator can temporarily disable MFA so that you can reconfigure it.

User management

How do I add a new user?

The procedure for adding a user has changed in version 2.0.0. The current steps are described in the Add a user guide.

How do I delete a user?

Follow the steps in the Delete a user guide.
